WWE SummerSlam 2015 Predictions: Seth Rollins vs. John Cena
Seth Rollins and John Cena will be in a title for title match at WWE SummerSlam. Who will win the titles? Check out who the Daily DDT staff thinks will win.
Seth Rollins will be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam against John Cena, who will be defending his WWE United States Championship.
The build for this match began when Cena came out during a Rollins promo on Raw to challenge him for the belt. Before that could happen, the two had a U.S. Championship match, which Cena won. However, he broke his nose in the process, leading to him missing multiple weeks of Raw.

Cena eventually accepted the match on an episode of Tough Enough and signed the contract for it on Raw last week.
So how does the Daily DDT staff think this SummerSlam match will go down? Find out below:
Brandon’s Prediction:
I expect it to be by DQ, but I doubt Cena walks away with a loss.
Prediction: John Cena wins by DQ
Callum’s Prediction:
With two championship belts on the line, this could be a pivotal match for WWE creative going forward. I really hope that John Cena does not walk out a 16-time world champion, as I believe they can drag out this story for a long time, with Cena not holding the belt for over two years to make people question whether he will ever match Ric Flair’s record. Seth Rollins is better-off holding both titles, and I’m still convinced someone will come to his aid in victory.
Prediction: Seth Rollins
Evan G’s Prediction:
Hopefully this match doesn’t end with a Sheamus cash-in. That’s my main hope for this match-up. That, and not a sixteenth reign for John Cena. I think the Authority or someone else may interfere in order for this to happen, but I see Rollins retaining, but only by DQ.
Prediction: John Cena wins by DQ
Evan W’s Prediction:
The mystery to this match will be solved by the WWE Shop hypothesis. If a superstar has a new shirt coming out saying they are a 15 time champion, why would you become a 16 time champion one week later. While this will be an entertaining match, I don’t see a clean finish. However, I do see Seth Rollins going back to his knee like Big Show goes to his knockout punch. And it will land and commentary will play it up and Cena will writhe in pain.
Prediction: No Contest
Jordan’s Prediction:
This match will be very good. Rollins is WWE’s best in-ring performer while Cena is the company man. Masked Kane returns and attacks Rollins.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins by DQ
Rob’s Prediction:
I can’t see this match ending clean. WWE thinks of John Cena too highly to give him a clean loss at SummerSlam. They think highly of Seth Rollins as well, who won’t be taking a clean loss either. This is going to lead to Cena getting a win by DQ. Rollins will get frustrated at some point and look to escape the match with his title. It’s unfortunate since WWE has made him a cowardly heel for months but they seem to have no intention of that changing.
Prediction: John Cena wins by DQ
Teddy’s Prediction:
This is by far the toughest pick on the card. It’s just hard to imagine either guy walking out with both titles. Makes you wonder if we will see a DQ or something along those lines. Maybe a Sheamus cash in? Pleas WWE, no. I’m going with Cena winning by DQ (maybe Kane and/or J&J returns) with both guys keeping their titles.
Prediction: John Cena wins by DQ
It looks like we’re at 4 for Cena by DQ, 1 for Seth Rollins by DQ, 1 for Seth Rollins clean and 1 for no contest. How do you think this match ends?
