The main event of WrestleMania 32 is slated to be Triple H vs. Roman Reigns. A vast majority of the WWE Universe wishes this match to change and have no interest in seeing these two square off. We all pretty much saw the writing on the wall before Roman Reigns won the number one contender Triple Threat match at Fastlane. It hasn’t helped that creative is doing nothing to help Roman Reigns gain any fanfare. When he was beaten down by The Game two weeks ago on RAW, the fans were not booing the evil Triple H. Instead they cheered the COO as he absolutely destroyed Reigns, and left him bleeding like crazy.

So WWE has not given the Roman Reigns that we all yearn for. The Samoan bad-ass who does little to no talking, and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Similar to why fans have gotten behind Dean Ambrose, but he is very much well…a lunatic. Since WWE will most likely not change up their creative plans with Reigns, it begs the question of can someone help save the main event? Maybe someone from Triple H’s past like oh I don’t know…WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels?

In recent years, you may recall that HBK has gotten involved with some current WWE SuperStars. Most notably CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Wait, maybe not so current, but you know what I mean, I think. Anyways when he inserted himself into the storylines those two were in; it was very beneficial. So that means he can help save WrestleMania by interacting with Roman Reigns right? Well yes and no.

Let’s focus on the “YES YES YES” first.

Shawn Michaels was a master in the ring, and was/is hilarious on the mic. He was also a part of DX with Triple H, who just happens to be the WWE World Heavyweight champion at the moment. They are not just best friends onscreen, but also off as well. If WWE decided to have HBK play a similar type of role like he did for his interactions with Daniel Bryan; it could work. However, HBK was able to play off the fact that D-Bry was an underdog. And we all know Reigns is no underdog, hence why he is referred to as the Big Dog. Instead, HBK can just frustrate the living hell out of Reigns. Since he and HHH are the best of friends, it would make sense that HBK would align with The Authority. Have HBK every week interfere with Reigns’ matches, assault him on the mic, and even attack him backstage or something. Now not only is Reigns dealing with beat downs from The Game, he is getting his ass kicked but another Hall of Famer. Triple H was hated immensely during his title reigns when he received help from his DX brethren or his corporation partners. Follow the patterns from the past, and they can lead to a positive outcome for the main event of WrestleMania 32.

Although this could just blow up in WWE’s faces. Even if HBK does a great job on the mic and terrorizes Reigns, fans may still not care. So what’s another legend beating up Reigns? We didn’t care about the first one doing it? Why care now that it’s 2? It really does seem like the minds are set in stone to feel negative towards Reigns. Adding in HBK could just lead fans to think that WWE is trying too hard to get us to sympathize for Reigns. Not even The Rock could get his cousin cheered at the 2015 Royal Rumble. It would be a pretty far-fetched thought that HBK could do any better in helping save the main event.
