WWE WrestleMania 32: Triple H Not Interacting with Shane McMahon Makes No Sense
Why hasn’t Triple H bothered to confront Shane McMahon over his WrestleMania match stipulation?
At WrestleMania 32, Shane McMahon is set to wrestle The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. Control of Monday Night Raw is on the line, as if Shane O’Mac wins, he will be in charge of the flagship show.
Triple H has been running Raw for a few years in the Authority position along with Stephanie McMahon. The Game is set to wrestle Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

In any situation whether it’s on a TV show or real life—if someone is challenging for your position, you do everything possible to fight for that spot, right?
At first, Stephanie was furious over her brother coming back and wanting control of Raw. She cut a furious promo a few weeks ago about how much she hated Shane and wouldn’t let him take control of the company, so it seemed like we had a brother-sister rivalry going on.
One thing missing from this was Triple H since he’s been the head male authority figure. He has been at the forefront since The Authority was created in 2013. Trips was also all over the 5 vs. 5 Team Authority vs. Team Cena feud at Survivor Series 2014 where The Authority’s power was on the line. Losing power due to interference from Sting was the reason why these two even had a WrestleMania 31 match.

So why is Triple H not doing anything about Shane possibly taking away his power in similar fashion at WrestleMania?
There is no answer.
For the Cerebral Assassin and the Prodigal Son not to have any type of interaction during the WrestleMania buildup is appalling. There has been no segments between the two in the ring, no backstage segments and not even any eye contact. How does that make any sense?
One reason could be overlapping storylines. While you don’t want things to get too chaotic, everything still has to have logic. Maybe intertwining these two programs would be too much, but at least tease the fact that Triple H isn’t happy about Shane going for his power and may do something about it. Wouldn’t anyone confront the person trying to take their position away?

The other more likely explanation is WWE just not realizing this. They have Triple H focused on Reigns and McMahon centered on his Undertaker match. This wouldn’t be surprising because WWE is famous for not providing any continuity to their storylines. We see it all over the place, even in the smallest of feuds, and has been a theme of the WrestleMania build. No one should expect it to change anytime soon, which is unfortunate.
Maybe Shane and Triple H will finally go face to face at WrestleMania only if the Hell in a Cell match goes on last. The King of Kings would have to have lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Reigns earlier in the show and want revenge for this to make sense. This immediately places him into another feud in the same show and creates something interesting to take place on Raw.
