While brand switches from NXT may seem unlikely to happen between now and Mania, the SmackDown roster does seem a bit thin due to injury and could use a couple more heels at least.
Because both Bianca Belair and Shayna Baszler now hold the record for most Women’s Rumble eliminations, they’d be easy picks for a move to SmackDown; Belair doing so after unsuccessfully challenging for the NXT Championship in Portland a month prior.
However, no matter who makes an appearance here, based on rumors and reports, Sasha Banks seems destined to win herself a number one contendership to face her best friend at WrestleMania.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Elimination Chamber – Winner faces The Fiend at WrestleMania – Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns vs. John Morrison vs. Kofi Kingston
More than just naming a number one contender for The Fiend’s championship at WrestleMania, this match could go a long way in setting up other matches for Mania’s undercard.
Set up an Intercontinental Championship match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan. Set up a tag team match between The New Day and Miz & Morrison. Set up Sheamus to be … uh … Sheamus.
But above all else, it would set up Roman Reigns vs. The Fiend at WrestleMania.
Winner: Roman Reigns
