A report gives us WWE’s full PPV schedule for next year, including dates, cities, and which brand(s) the event will feature.

The following will contain slight WWE spoilers, so if you’re against knowing even the slightest of information, click away now…

So, let’s dive into next year’s schedule (courtesy of PWInsider)! It’s safe to say that WWE are cutting down on the amount of pay-per-views next year, however, not by much. The only show missing from next year’s schedule is No Mercy. Therefore, there will still be 14 PPV’s in 2018.

The first event taking place of the year, and arguably the most exiting besides WrestleMania, is the Royal Rumble. On January 28th, the two brands will be competing on the same PPV, in Philadelphia. Philly will always have a special place in my heart for the Rumble, mainly because of Reigns’ win, and for the first time ever, the fans booing The Rock for simply holding up someone’s arm. Let’s hope for a better result this time, eh?

The next event following the Royal Rumble is the Elimination Chamber, and it’s a Raw branded show. Personally, I’ve always been a fan of the Chamber gimmick. And the changes they made last year to the design of the pods and the actual structure made a real difference. Last year’s event saw Wyatt pick up his first ever WWE Championship, and hopefully, next year should be no different in terms of entertainment. The competitors should feel lucky in their pods, as the event emanates from Las Vegas, and takes place on February 25th.

Fastlane, March 11th, in Columbus, you just made the list (sorry, I had to do it!). A pay-per-view oddly titled Fast Lane can only mean one thing; you’re getting close to ‘Mania. And next year is again no different. The event will be a SmackDown Live exclusive, and will be the last build – for PPV at least – on the road to WrestleMania.

Following Fastlane, on April 8th, we’ll witness the Grandest State of Them All, WrestleMania. In case you’ve missed the hundredth promo on every show and PPV promoting ‘Mania, the event will be taking place in New Orleans.

WrestleMania 30 was the last ‘Mania event in New Orleans, and that was one hell of a show. Maybe next year we’ll see a repeat? (Not of Daniel Bryan, obviously, he’ll be too busy working for ROH.) This will obviously be a dual-branded PPV.

Backlash will be returning just in time for your ‘Mania blues, on May 6th, emanating from Newark, New Jersey.

This show will feature all your favourite Raw Superstars, meaning, that the red brand will have the first taste of pay-per-view following the biggest show of the year.

The following pay-per-view is Payback, which will be a SmackDown Live exclusive. The show will be in Baltimore, and will take place on May 27th.

So, six events will have taken place at this point in the year, and the next one on this list will certainly not disappoint, Money In The Bank. On June 17th, the two brands (yes two) will be competing for a chance to win a magic briefcase, one in which, they can cash in – hopefully finding better success that Corbin – and win the WWE/Universal Championship. At this point, it’s not clear on how many MITB matches there will be, however, one would assume that we’d be getting at least three. Oh, and expect a few “CM Punk” chants, because the event will take place in Chicago, Illinois.

Next up, on July 15, the ground is made for battle, or as WWE like to call it, Battleground. Next year, the event will be covered in red, as all the Raw Superstars will head for battle, in Pittsburgh.

Then, as the summer quickly approaches, WWE host the 2018 edition of SummerSlam. And could it be anywhere but Brooklyn, New York?

The pay-per-view event takes place on August 19th and will be a dual-branded PPV, as always.

This year saw a fantastic fatal-four-way, so let’s just hope for another killer main event next year!

Following SummerSlam is Extreme Rules – a pay-per-view now synonymous with WWE programming. The event takes place in San Antonio, on September 16th, and will be a Raw branded show.

Following the success of this year’s Hell In A Cell, featuring two incredible matches between The Usos and The New Day and Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon, HIAC is once again a SmackDown Live exclusive. It will take place on September 30th.

This year’s event saw the return of Kurt Angle and AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor, but what will next year’s TLC pay-per-view have in store for us? For now, all we know is that is will be taking place on October 21st, and it will be in Sasha Banks’ hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. TLC will again be a Raw exclusive.

The next big event on WWE’s big 5 radar is Survivor Series, which will emanate from Los Angeles, California on November 18th. And will of course be a duel branded pay-per-view.

The final event of the year will be Clash Of Champions (hopefully with a better main event than AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal). Airing from San Jose, on December 16th, the pay-per-view will again be a SmackDown Live only show.

Here’s the full schedule laid out in table form. Massive thanks to Dave Scherer from PWInsider for the report and table as seen below.

So there you have it. As of right now, Raw has one more pay-per-view than SmackDown Live, with five exclusives next year. The blue brand only has four. Whether that will change at some point in the future, with SmackDown getting another special Network show or a massive show one week, is yet to be seen.

All in all, the seclude is yet again packed. With one show every month (and sometimes two) throughout the whole year. The move to make Money In The Bank a dual pay-per-view, and therefore, part of the big 5 is a very smart one. Fans have been clamouring for both brands to take part in the briefcase bonanza, and now WWE have granted that wish. As I mentioned above, it’s unclear how many ladder matches we will see, however, it’s safe to say that we will be getting at least three.
